Cinematic Personality
Student: Michael Hantiuk
Students invented a character by writing a script in the first person that could be translated into a storyboard for a cinematic portrait of an individual. Each original personality had a story to tell, but it was up to the student to determine how to express the narrative on film. And while students were the directors and cinematographers in each piece, they were also the talent in front of the camera lens, thus becoming their invented character. All shots were to convey careful composition, and audio was thoughtfully considered. With an organized methodology, students learned how to efficiently edit their films in HD in Premiere while incorporating professional color-grading techniques. Each final film is a short, carefully-crafted narrative that can stand alone as a work of digital art. |
