Design of an architecture library and lecture hall for the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Architecture, on a site between the existing library and the Fisher Fountain Plaza. The project addressed the following architectural issues:

  1. Site Planning & Zoning Ordinance Requirements.
  2. Functional Planning & Fire Egress.
  3. Formal & spatial composition.
  4. Building structure.
  5. Daylighting and artificial lighting.
  6. Mechanical systems.
  7. Acoustical design of the lecture hall.
  8. Material selection and the design of a wall section.

PROJECT DURATION: Thirteen weeks.
