Intentions:
• To explore architecture with attention to structure, materiality and site through the use of specific limitations created by the architectural element students have been studying and by the specific clients.
• To produce a functional and enjoyable place for people to live, work and live.
• To utilize an iterative design process that allows for a deep exploration into the building and site.

Project Description:

Students built upon earlier investigations to inform the development of a three-story mixed-use building. The program includes residential living units on the upper floors and a community credit union on the lower and ground levels. The primary building site is the current Mercury Bar patio and students are required to incorporate the Duncan Speedometer building into the design of the structure.
